The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course from the AHA caters to individuals with minimal or no medical training who seek a course completion card for a job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other prerequisites, or those aiming to prepare for emergencies in any environment.

The American Heart Association ACLS Provider Course is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. ACLS is intended for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. In order to receive an ACLS certification card, your scope of practice must allow you to provide ACLS skills.

Upon successful course completion, including demonstration of skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test and a written test, students receive an ACLS course completion card, valid for two years.

It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. PALS is intended for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of critically ill infants and children. In order to receive an ACLS certification card, your scope of practice must allow you to provide PALS related skills. Upon successful course completion, including demonstration of skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test and a written test, students receive a PALS course completion card, valid for two years.

The American Heart Association CPR Instructor Course will allow the participant to teach all American Heart Association BLS level certification & Heartsaver CPR classes. Instructor candidates must have the American Heart Association BLS certification (not expired) prior to attending the instructor course.
